“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,” (Mt 25:35).
We are called, from the time of our Baptism, to help our sisters and brothers in need. Christ tells us in the Gospel of Matthew, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me, (Mt 25:35).
As you know, over the past three years the parish family of St. Kevin has been contributing to the Food Pantry of St. Gerard Majella Parish in Hollis, New York. I am happy to inform you, that as of September 2020, we have begun and maintained our very own Food Pantry at St. Kevin Church - “The Market”. To date we have assisted nearly 125 families with food and personal items. THANK YOU for your generosity! We will continue to collect food and monetary donations for our pantry. Your donations can be dropped off anytime that the Church and rectory are open.
